What you need to know about your BIGSOUND artists.

Give us a short description of your music: Rock'n'roll. And we won’t apologise.
Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? We’ve never seen our compatriots Boy Azooga live before. We’re playing a couple more shows with them in the country so it’ll be fun to check them out.
Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? Judging by the line-up I think we probably work off slightly different reference points. Rock'n'roll shows for us are about release. At their best they provide one of the few moments in life that the band and the audience are totally in the present. That’s what we’re looking for.
What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? Homegrown hip hop/rap seems to be kicking off everywhere at the moment. We’ve been to a lot of places in Europe this summer and local rappers are killing it. There seems to be a movement of garage/punk-rock bands too in a similar way.
In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Slots at festivals like Glastonbury and Reading have been a great marker of what the band has grown to. Releasing our last two albums have been massive for us. Supporting Muse in stadiums around Europe has been incredible this summer.

What is the best bit of advice you've been given to prepare for your time at BIGSOUND? I guess check out as much music as possible while we’re there. It’s similar to showcase festivals we’ve been to before like Great Escape in the UK and SXSW in Texas, so we’ve learnt how to make the most of our time.
When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 4 Sep, The Elephant Hotel, 9.40pm.
