What you need to know about your BIGSOUND artists.

Give us a short description of your music: We started as a band that was a little bit dreamy, a little bit groovy, but now we've turned up the energy and rawness. Definitely bringing back some new wave post-punk vibes.
Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? TOWNS, These New South Whales, Japanese Wallpaper, Ivey, Ryan Fennis.
Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? We have a great power set ready for BIGSOUND. A couple of our recent singles and some new unreleased music and a very high energy cover!
What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? The garage-punk scene is booming with so many sick bands!! Maybe that's because there's so many great bands in Byron. I think, overall, Australian music is holding a pretty high standard across the board! I don't see one style dominating.
In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Winning triple j Unearthed's competition to play Splendour in 2018 was a turning point for us as a band, and a weekend we will never forget! Having Golden Girl gain full rotation on triple j was another. Playing SummerSalt Festival with Meg Mac and Angus & Julia Stone too!!

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? We're keen to be a sponge during any conference or meeting. I think there's a lot of value in listening without judgement and just hearing a point or observation from another's experience.
What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? The clampdown on festivals and venues in this country feels pretty rough! I can almost guarantee everyone involved in shutting down live music probably goes home and listens to their fave artists anyway. Seems a bit hypocritical.
What is the best bit of advice you've been given to prepare for your time at BIGSOUND? Be ready for a fast changeover, and try and see as much music as you can!!
When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 3 Sep, The Outpost, 8.50pm; 4 Sep, Empire Hotel, 10.50pm.
