Give us a short description of your music: Whatever label people want to put on my music, I don't mind! I'd say it's somewhere between pop, rock and folk but I don't want to limit myself. I try to be honest and thought-provoking.

Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? Dulcie, Sycco, Being Jane Lane, EGOISM, Concrete Surfers, Greta Stanley, imbi the girl, Seaside and TOWNS.

Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? I try to be as honest and transparent as I can at every gig, so I can promise my full, uncensored self! I don’t hide the extremities of the emotion in my songs and I'm not afraid of having the hard conversations.

What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? I think folk is coming back in! And dance music. Maybe folk-dance will be the next big thing!

In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Um. Winning the triple j Unearthed BIGSOUND Comp! And I did a music video for my single Nice Like Rice which got aired on Rage. That childhood dream is finally fulfilled!

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I guess I really wanna focus on learning about having a long and healthy career, staying relevant and stay in love with what I am creating.

What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? I think I've had lucky timing coming into this industry when people can't get away with as much bullshit anymore. I'd love to see the end of discrimination in the industry. Also, can we stop having plastic water bottles in greenrooms and artist tents? Go green!

What is the best bit of advice you've been given to prepare for your time at BIGSOUND? I've only just found out! From what I learnt last year, water is very necessary, and keep a schedule on hand at all times. This year I'm going to print off photos of all the people I want to meet so I don't miss them. Creepy, but necessary.

When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 5 Sep, Famous Nightclub, 8.10pm.
