Give us a short description of your music: We try to make music that warms you with team spirit, pop melodies and an extra serving of groove. We’re here to move your soul, and your feet.

Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? Obviously our bestie Japanese Wallpaper. And we have loved touring with Dulcie and Nancie Schipper this year. Check them out!!!

Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? We’re here to share our slice of suburban paradise with you. Crowds have been known to move their bodies and share in an overwhelming desire to tend to a nearby local park or community centre. If you’re all for spiritual growth, you simply have no choice but to come down.

What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? 2019 is the year of piano and bongos. A dynamic duo that Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend and Chet Faker have all brought to the forefront of our eardrums. You never know what is going to happen, but some tuba with a nice reverb could be that next big thing.

In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Releasing our first song, Millennium Queen, and it meaning so much to so many people singing along at our shows. Touring across Australia with American pop-funk geniuses Half Alive, Polish Club, and Joyride in 2019. And playing a whole bunch of awesome summer festivals was an absolute dream.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? The best part about our time in the industry has been meeting all the hard-working and creative people who make it up. We’re really looking forward to meeting with a whole bunch of other artists, producers, labels, and booking agents to learn more about their craft.

What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? We think that professional, respectful and inclusive working environments are top priorities. Shows can be massive, intense, and over really quickly - we think that along the way, no matter who you are or aren’t, that everyone should have an equal opportunity to get involved and give it a crack.

What is the best bit of advice you've been given to prepare for your time at BIGSOUND? We’ve been told to go to as much as we can. BIGSOUND is action-packed - to settle those nerves a bit, the best advice we’ve come across is to keep a cleanly organised Google calendar. Ours is colour-coded, and all meeting participants are added as guests to the events.

When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 3 Sep, Woolly Mammoth Alehouse Stage, 11.30pm; 5 Sep, The Foundry, 10.40pm.
