What's your bars specialty drink?
We have a large, ever changing gin list including a lot of bottles that you wouldn't usually see in Australia. That and cocktails with sherry as a modifier; it's only just starting to get the recognition it deserves.

What drink turns you off?
Poorly thought out drinks. You can have banging creamy drinks or vodka drinks etc as long as everything is balanced. That said you'll rarely see me putting something creamy in my mouth...wait.

What makes your bar different?
The feel and freindliness of a local with the knowledge and product of a top notch venue. Everything from our wine list to our food tends to exceed what you'd expect from a recommendation, and that's what we strive for. Whether you're in for an aperitif, dinner or a cheeky nightcap, we always do our best so Foley Lane feels like it was made for that specific reason.

Who will I meet at your bar?
We have a large local customer base from Darlinghurst and Surry Hills as well as a really good following from people in the hospitality industry. From people hanging with their dogs out the front to awkward tinder dates, hollering cowboys sinking booze at the bar to pre-theatre golden oldies, girls night out groups to suits and ties. All while watching the colourful array of nightlife traipsing through to Taylor Square and Oxford street. Diversity at it's finest!

What’s the design/atmosphere of your bar?
Situated in a 1970's art deco style apartment block, Foley Lane is well and truly 'Sydney' in both style and nature. Some people will refer to it as having a New York aesthetic, but I think it's well and truly time for us to define ourselves as a city and shape our own style that one day you'll see people in New York channeling. Shimming wall tiles, warm lighting and Spanish influenced artwork are highlights of the space.

Who is pouring at your bar and what makes them special?
Aaron Shuttleworth. Aaron brings a deep understanding of flavours and textures. Foley Lane's famous bottle aged sangria is his creation and is a favourite among all of the customers! If not Aaron can recommend a sherry inspired cocktail or some funky Spanish wines. Be sure to sit at the bar at Foley Lane and let Aaron show you a good time!

Best hangover cure?
Cold crisp cider followed by a dip in the ocean. If you don't have either of these at your immediate disposal, we can hook you up with the best goddamn Bloody Mary in town. Fresh Roma tomatoes, our house chipotle mix, fino sherry and Ketel 1 thrown and served long will surely kick those post-booze blues. Pair it with our famous Chorizon Montadito's and you'll be fighting fit for the next assault on your liver.
