How did you first become involved in the music business and how did you end up where you are today? I work for the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory body. I first got involved working in Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Arts, across all art forms. 

What advice would you give young practitioners starting out  in your area? You need to be a good listener and be passionate about the creation of Australian art.

What do you think will be the biggest issue affecting the music industry in the next 12 months and why? For Australian artists in relation to the Australia Council, we have a reduced budget for our grants program so the competition for funding is greater.

What will you be primarily discussing during your appearance at Australian Music Week? The Australia Council grants program available for musicians.
