"Playing in bands in the mid '90s... We had know idea what we were doing. It was fun."

Position: Festival Manager

How did you first become involved in the music business? Playing in bands in the mid '90s — we used to put on our own shows, east coast tours and release our own albums. We had know idea what we were doing. It was fun.

What's your area of expertise and what experience do you have? My time is taken up with managing festivals for Broadbeach Alliance on the Gold Coast. Leading up to this, I have been involved in event and music production in several countries. Current focus is blues and country.

What topics will you be mostly talking about at Australian Music Week? The Festival Tribes panel, a forum looking at festival patrons' loyalty to events. How to program a suitable line-up and continue the respect and momentum of the event year on year?

What do you hope to personally take away from Australian Music Week? I spend so much time on phone and email — I look forward to putting faces to names.

What's one question about the music industry you'd love to have the answer to? Who let the dogs out?
