Fuzz pop outfit Shining Bird are just a week off from releasing their second record, Black Opal, and theMusic.com.au are extremely excited to host the premiere of the album, in full, for them today.
Recorded over the last two years deep in the Blue Mountains, the Austinmer band were inspired by Australian art, classic films and music (the boys even enlisted didgeridoo player Charlie McMahon for the album) with the album already spawning singles Rivermouth, Helluva Lot and I Can Run.
As you listen to Black Opal, revel in the fact that Shining Bird will also be embarking on a big album tour this October/November that you can catch them on, starting off at Yours & Owls Festival tomorrow and taking in shows in Canberra, Adelaide, the Uluru-adjacent Outback Pioneer Hotel, Byron Bay, Sydney, Milton and more until 18 November.
