The debut album from new Perth outfit Sad Hill packs a serious punch, dishing up lo-fi ‘90s punk vibes and channelling genre heroes Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate and The Get Up Kids, all while keeping things fresh.
Premiering today via The Music, Good If It Goes is an uplifting and infectious collection of songs born from former members of WA bands Emperors and Coveleski.
“This is the fifth record I've made with Dave Parkin in three different bands and I definitely took it less seriously than I have before,” vocalist and bassist Greg Sanders said.
“We treated our studio time like a holiday and I hope that vibe comes through in the songs - even though the vibe is unashamedly ‘emo-Dad’.”
