ALBUM PREMIERE: Gallucci - (still)Exists!

Sydney duo Gallucci specialise in delightfully fucky, punk-steeped discord, and they've come to the table loaded with goodies for the fifth time with brand new album (still)Exists!.

Premiering on theMusic.com.au today, (still)Exists! is the band's first new album since 2012's Click To Switch, and comes as an eight-track journey full of sudden turns, sharp drops, ferocious outbursts and loose structures, its songs rarely carrying on past the two-and-a-half-minute mark.

In fact, Double_Demps and Freeze (10Mm$) — at 3:11 and 3:42 respectively — stand as the record's longest tracks, yet band members and brothers Jacob and Timothy Nicastri have managed to cram so many levels of sound into the album's relatively brief run time as to demand multiple listens to make sure you've caught it all.

Gallucci have been bashing away together for more than a decade now but, although they've been a little bit quiet in recent times, (still)Exists!'s breadth of sound and willingness to just get a little weird suggests that these guys still have plenty of fresh ideas and energy in the tank. We're stoked to hear from them again.
