"Painful and redeeming."

More Fenn Wilson More Fenn Wilson

Bellarine Peninsula local Fenn Wilson will release his debut album this week and we here at theMusic.com.au are stoked to bring you the exclusive online premiere.

The album, Ghost Heroin, sees Wilson navigate "the bumpy road from darkness to catharsis".

"Ghost Heroin is a collection of songs I started writing a few years ago in the midst of a particularly difficult time of my life," Wilson told The Music

"It addresses the tendency to hold onto painful memories often to our own detriment. As time went on and I moved through that period, my writing turned to a more reflective and healed perspective. Ghost Heroin is now an encapsulation of a process both painful and redeeming."

After winning last year's Emerging Artist Grant at Queenscliff Music Festival, Wilson will return this year to launch his debut album at the event. He penned us his personal history of the event, from attending as a youngster to eventually performing on the line-up. Check it out in the November issue of The Music here and press play on the album above.
