Album title? Floating In The Darkness

Where did the title of your new album come from? It's a lyric from the song, Shine Like The Sun, but it also represents the subtle underlying cosmic theme that recurs throughout. 'Floating' represents the lighter side of me, and 'Darkness' represents the darker side.

How many releases do you have now? I've released two full-length albums and a bunch of singles.

How long did it take to write/record? I was working on it for a good 2-3 years. I produced it myself and recorded most of it myself, and even mixed half of it, so I was very close to it.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Love, loss and longing. Those are the themes most common throughout. The period over which I wrote it saw some of the biggest changes of my life, so the album really is an expression of that.

What's your favourite song on it? Tenderly. We also shot the music video in Wilpena Pound in the Outback, which was the perfect landscape to match!

Will you do anything differently next time? Probably lots of things. I've never been one to stay the same. But I'm touring this album right now, so I haven't quite started thinking about the next one yet!

When and where is your launch/next gigs? 7 Jun, The Grace Emily Hotel; 9 Jun, The Milk Factory Kitchen & Bar; 11 Jun, Leadbelly; 15 Jun, Babushka.
