Album title? Bright
Where did the title of your new album come from? We recorded the album near the Victorian town of Bright at Nicky Bomba's studios in Freeburgh. Someone floated the idea of Bright as a title and we thought it matched the vibe on our album.
How many releases do you have now? Bright is the debut long player for The Embers.

How long did it take to write/record? The tracks for the album took around two years to evolve from rehearsing and gigging and the recording at Freeburgh Station was done over 11 blissful days with Nicky Bomba and Robin Mai.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The tracks on the album mostly explore the joys of creating and experiencing music together so to be able to work with Nicky as our producer was very inspiring and an amazing experience indeed.
What's your favourite song on it? That's a tough question but lately I'm leaning towards the track Say I which has a modern Afro-calypso vibe.
Will you do anything differently next time? We would have loved more time for the actual recording process to delve further into arrangements and sounds and also explore unconventional approaches for introductions and bridges between songs.
When and where is your launch/next gig? Our national tour kicks off in Melbourne at Sooki Lounge in Belgrave 4 Sep and then Bar Open 5 Sep with The Dub Captains.
