Album title? Dread Marches Under Bloodied Regalia

Where did the title of your new album come from? It came from the literary mind of our drummer Josh, who's probably even more of an avid fantasy and sci-fi reader than the rest of us.

How many releases do you have now? Just the one, so far.

How long did it take to write/record? The material was developed gradually from our band's infancy over about a two-year period before recording, which took four days (and about six months on and off to mix and finally release!).

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Epic fantasy books like Dune, Lord Of The Rings, etc. Heavy/stoner kind of stuff like High On Fire, Om, Yob... film soundtracks... also the weirder/darker side of '60s/'70s folk in some respects.

What's your favourite song on it? If we had to pick one, probably Corpulent Warlord. I'd say it's our most popular.

Will you do anything differently next time? Of course — we've got loads of different ideas and influences to work with next time, and practically speaking, yes too. We know a lot that we didn't before.

When and where is your launch/next gig? 12 Feb, The Tote.
