Album title? Back To Zero
Where did the title of your new album come from? Our producer Troy is notoriously clumsy and Back To Zero was the catch phrase anytime he did something goofy in the studio. Seeing as this record is a musical reset for us, it fit perfectly.
How many releases do you have now? Back To Zero is our fifth release. We have three EP's, a compilation EP and now our debut album.
How long did it take to write/record? We started writing in 2014 for this record and tracked it from November 2015 until February 2016.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The world around us constantly feeds our creative process. There's less sex, drugs and fast cars and more social commentary; everything from technological alienation, domestic violence and social media.
What's your favourite song on it?: The album opener Shine really does it for me; it condenses everything we do as a band into one track.
Will you do anything differently next time?: I really enjoyed the entire process of making this record; all I could ask for is more time and more songs next time.
When and where is your launch/next gig?: We're launching with a string of shows in Victoria and WA.
