"The songs are glimpses into these tales and our own drunkenness and idiocy."
Name: Brett Marshall
Album title? Drink Over Your Grave
Where did the title of your new album come from? A line in one of the songs. Also the name of a song from our first EP, referring to toasting the memory of a fallen comrade... although for the album it refers to vanquished enemies.
How many releases do you have now? This is our second. We released our an EP in 2013 called Strange Birds.

How long did it take to write/record? The album was written over a couple of years and recorded over ten days at Captain B Studios by Brooke Penrose from Saint Jude.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Definitely bush rangers and cowboys from The Wild West... and the tragedies and murder that surrounded their history. The songs are glimpses into these tales and our own drunkenness and idiocy.
What's your favourite song on it? Mine is The Death Of Aaron Sherritt, a real banger shamelessly untrue to the actual history behind his death.
Will you do anything differently next time? Next time I won't try to sing with the weight of five hangovers on my shoulders and probably allow more time in the studio.
When and where is your launch/next gig? The launch is at Spotted Mallard in Brunswick with our old mates, La Bastard, who have just returned from terrorising Europe, and the bellowing and stomping Mick Dog's Boneyard.
