Album Focus: Glider Pilots

Album title? Talk Free
Where did the title of your new album come from? It came from the nature of our songwriting process for the album. We felt we were talking freely, taking our everyday thoughts and writing openly and well... free.
How many releases do you have now? Three. Our first two releases being EPs, the third being this debut album.
How long did it take to write/record? We wrote and recorded at the same time for the most part. I would come up with the general idea of the song, then Sam and I would work on lyrics. Took about five months.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Some songs were inspired by what was happening in the world at the time. The others were just what was on our minds. We want the listener to interpret the songs however they want.
What's your favourite song on it? Mine is Talk Free, I get chills every time I hear it. Sam is quite attached to Slow Dance.
Will you do anything differently next time? It won't be long before we start changing things again. We are finally happy with our sound now though, so probably won't be as drastic as with our previous projects.
When and where is your launch/next gigs? We are premiering our album at Bar 36 in Cairns, every Wednesday in May except for the 10th.
