Describe your show in a tweet? A first date with your new comedy sweethearts. @HaywardandHadid debut #ThisIsAnExcuse — an ode to modern love & cultural cliches.

What was the inspiration behind your show? We wanted to make fun of ourselves and the world around us, taking a lot of inspiration from our lives and our friendship: love, laughable men, feminism, and race.

Tell us a bit about the creative team working on this project? We're both writer-performers who fell madly in comedy-love during an improv show and it's been Hayward and Hadid ever since. Our director, Cat Commander, is wildly talented and hugely busy, so having the chance to work with her is incredible.

What do you love about Fringe and why? This is our first time attending Adelaide Fringe and we couldn't be happier. It's a great platform for local and international talent, and we're excited to be a part of this amazing festival.

When and where is your Fringe show? From 16 to 21 Feb at The Producers Garden, 235 Grenfell St, Adelaide. Show starts at 9.55pm. This Is An Excuse to put on a bra and come see us! Follow us @haywardandhadid
