"We need more avenues for positive self-expression and communication in our society like this one."

Describe your show in a tweet? Poncho Orange is a wild mix of clowning, dancing and physical comedy that will entertain, intrigue and move the most rigid of audiences.

What was the inspiration behind your show? Last year's show, Who Is Dani Cabs?, was autobiographical, therefore I felt it didn't allow me to play into fun/fantasy as much as I could behind a persona. Suddenly Poncho Orange appeared, initially in small doses — now he's the star.

Tell us a bit about the creative team working on this project? Musical contributions by Peter Golikov (Brisbane) aka Golden Sound and dramaturgy/development by the always dead-on Kate McDowell (Lennox Head). I'm Dani Cabs, nominated in 2015 for Best Emerging Artist. I'm a visual and performance artist residing in Brisbane/Lennox Head.

What do you love about Fringe and why? I love that we can express ourselves, we can book a venue, create a show, deliver a message and audiences will come to see… hopefully. We need more avenues for positive self-expression and communication in our society like this one.

When and where is your Fringe show? Cusack Theatre - Tuxedo Cat, 18 Feb — 1 Mar, 9.55pm.
