Adelaide Fringe Festival Focus: Boombox By The Australian Voices

"The show is like skipping through channels on a radio — every channel is different, and we apply that to the show so that no two songs are remotely similar."

Answered by: Samuel Boyd

Describe your show in a tweet? The ultimate skirmish between human voice and machine.

What was the inspiration behind your show? The show is like skipping through channels on a radio — every channel is different, and we apply that to the show so that no two songs are remotely similar. Add in some theatre and movement — we have BOOMBOX!

Tell us a bit about the creative team working on this project? Our conductor and composer Gordon has been called one of Australia's hottest composers. We have a choir jam-packed with amazing individuals who've toured the world, including Georgia Mae who was just featured on triple j's Unearthed. The team are amazing!

What do you love about Fringe and why? The variety of shows, gigs and performances available blows my mind! Every corner of the city is activated and comes alive, and everyone seems to be a part of it.

When and where is your Fringe show? BOOMBOX is showing from 1 — 5 Mar at The Garage at Adelaide Town Hall.
