Seabellies

The band’s instrumentation is precise and energising, but Fever Belle remains an ambitious, if somewhat over-familiar attempt at expanding horizons.

Their energetic performance is infectious and gets the sparse crowd yelling for more. No doubt a weekend slot would bring in more bodies and probably the odd mosh every couple of tracks.

“I think we’ll be forcing it if we go back to a six-piece; things are really working out with the five now."

There’s probably two, maybe three times the amount of people in the room when Seabellies file out, but it sure as hell doesn’t feel like it, with not a single body willing to get within three metres of the stage.
