The Dangerous Summer is an American rock band from Ellicott City, Maryland, United States.

The band's name is taken from the book of the same name by Ernest Hemingway. The band has stated influences from Third Eye Blind, Bright Eyes, U2, Phil Collins, Explosions in the Sky, Jimmy Eat World, and Andrew McMahon.

Over the years the band has sold over 60,000 albums and over 300,000 singles.

The Dangerous Summer are without a doubt one of the best pop rock band's in the world at the moment. Armed with a new album, 'Golden Record,' the band will hit our shores as part of the Australian leg of the Vans Warped Tour this December. Maryland four-piece The Dangerous Summer have been destined for big things since they were signed to Hopeless Records in early 2007, only 8 months after the band formed. The band have been keeping busy in 2011. They recently released their second full length, War Paint, are currently on Warped Tour and were set to head down to Australia for Soundwave Revolution next month. We caught up with guitarist Cody Payne to discuss the album, touring and everything else in the world of The Dangerous Summer.
