Rochester, New York’s Such Gold have gained a huge fan base in just a few short years, only increasing with the 2012 release of their debut full length, Misadventures. The band toured Australia recently as part of the Soundwave line-up, and Killyourstereo.com caught up with guitarist Nate Derby to discuss the tour, as well as the band’s plans for new material.
Rochester, New York's Such Gold are a band of two sides, mashing together their appreciation of pop punk and melodic hardcore to create cohesive, energetic and emotionally affecting music. Their long-awaited debut album, ‘Misadventures’, was released earlier this year, raising the bar and enjoying an enthusiastic critical reception. Drummer Devan Bentley recently spoke to Kill Your Stereo about ‘Misadventures’ and their upcoming Australian tour as part of Soundwave 2013.
Some ups and downs, but Such Gold don't disappoint.
Get used to seeing the name Such Gold this year. The band is currently ripping their way through Australia for the first time with No Trigger, and they have no plans on slowing down at all. The band will be releasing their debut album later in the year, as well as splits with A Loss For Words and Into It. Over It. 2011 will be Such Gold's year. The band's front man Ben answered some questions for us on the eve of their Australian tour.
