Kate Miller-Heidke will be the focus of an upcoming Australian Story episode ahead of her appearance at Eurovision next week.

The episode, which airs on Monday night, will look at Zero Gravity, the track Miller-Heidke will perform in the competition, and the story behind it.

"Ultimately if I’m honest with myself, I’m an artist because I’m trying to work out what the hell’s wrong with me," says Miller-Heidke. "That’s why I do end up sort of dragging out my little bits of shame and examining them in the light."

Dubbed Out Of The Box, the episode will also feature interviews from musicians Tina Arena and Ben Folds, and Australia’s Eurovision creative director Paul Clarke

It's been a big year for Miller-Heidke, who in addition to winning the Eurovision - Australia Decides competition, was also the musical director for the 2019 APRA Music Awards and launched the Muriel's Wedding musical in Melbourne.

Out Of The Box airs on ABC on Monday 13 May at 8pm.
