'We've just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years.'
Just months out from their exclusive Australian performances, Robert Smith has confirmed that a new The Cure album is coming.
Appearing on Cape Town's The John Maytham Show this week, the iconic frontman dropped the bombshell news while discussing the band's "extraordinary" career.
"The recording career started 40 years ago this year. But we've enjoyed it and we've just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years," Smith said.
"I'm still doing this for the right reasons."
A release date for the record is yet to be confirmed.
