"'Late Teens' offers an exciting new perspective on the group, while still allowing room to grow."

More Press Club More Press Club

Melbourne's Press Club have fast gained traction as a solid live act, with fervent showcases at last year's BIGSOUND and Face The Music summits, off the back of just one single at the time. Their debut album, Late Teens, certainly will keep the hype going.

It would be easy to pigeonhole the group to a fast-moving punk act, but right from the start, Late Teens proves that there's a whole lot more to Press Club, with Natalie Foster's voice truly getting an opportunity to shine. Album opener Crash is a warm welcome before moving onto lead single, Headwreck, which has truly found a home within this body of work.

Expect the unexpected (and prepare to be delighted) with the likes of Side B - a 1.41-minute-long instrumental that offers a break at the album's halfway point - before Ignorance opens up. Let It Fall pulls a lot of the energy the band are known for live into the studio, while Stay Low is the perfect close to the journey the album has taken.

Late Teens offers an exciting new perspective on the group, while still allowing room to grow. It's a gallant start from a band with a lot of promise.
