PREMIERE: Mammut - Blood Burst

Earlier this month, Icelandic rock outfit Mammut released their latest EP River's End and today TheMusic are proud to present the video for the band's new single, Blood Burst.

The latest offering is as fun and colourful as it is weird and, well, pretty gross — and that was exactly the band's intention.

It all really depends on how you feel about a group of people playing in a jacuzzi full of sheep blood or getting covered in what looks to be honey while they stand quite casually in their underwear.

Director of the film clip, Sunneva Asa Weisshappel said of his work: "My interpretation of the songs subject is the animalistic nature of man. What we hide, what we cover and a spectacle that is a combination of poetry, illusions and contrasts.”

Meanwhile, the quintet had no problem getting down and dirty, or sticky, for the sake of art either.

"We were placed in situations to react to them...there were no boundaries nor questioning on set. There was a rhythm of flow as a result of artistic trust."

Check out the video out above, but beware this may be NSFW — again, all depending on how your boss feels about a blood filled jacuzzi.
