HOWQUA - Fishing For Gold (Live @ House Of Bricks)

Ascendant Melburnian artist HOWQUA has been invited to perform at two international showcases — his first ever — at this year's Canadian Music Week, and The Music is stoked to have been a part of the efforts to get the up-and-coming muso way up north for this week's industry event.

As part of the preparations to send HOWQUA to Canada — where he'll play at the CMW Official Showcase as well as Sounds Australia's Sound Gallery showcase with nine other locals — the performer played two intimate solo shows at Melbourne's House Of Bricks gallery, proudly sponsored by The Music, Coopers and Spotify, in order to help raise the necessary funds for his inaugural international appearances.

Now, we're blessed to share with you footage from one of last week's two shows, of the velvet-voiced troubadour belting our a sublime rendition of his song Fishing For Gold. The track has not been released, but would sit easily next to any of the gems found on recent debut EP Naked, the strength of which has been demonstrated in support slots next to the likes of Midlake, Little May and SOAK, as well as the fact that he sold out his first-ever headline show at The Toff In Town.

Trust us: this is an artist on the rise, and it'd be percipient to hop on-board while he's still in easy reach.
