PREMIERE: The Tango Saloon - Don't Close Your Eyes

Sydney-based outfit The Tango Saloon are ramping up the pre-release activity ahead of their newest full-length album, Suspicion, with the revelation of the accompanying video clip for second single Don't Close Your Eyes, featuring Elana Stone, which we are proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today.

The video was directed by previous Tango Saloon collaborator Julian Shaw, who also actually appears on-screen in the black-and-white clip alongside guest vocalist Stone, the resulting narrative an affecting, intimate and earnestly emotional piece of abstraction, broadly open to interpretation by the viewer — the best kind.

The full Suspicion LP will be released this Monday, 2 March, via Romero Records, and comes just more than a week ahead of its official Sydney launch show, at The Basement, on 12 March. The album marks the band's fourth full-length release, and will be the immediate follow-up to third LP Shadows & Fog, which landed in our willing laps in 2012.

Suspicion finds The Tango Saloon moving a little bit away from the largely instrumental, experimental tack of previous releases to create a more traditional song-based full-length, with Stone performing vocals on nine of the album's 14 tracks. She has previously featured on The Tango Saloon's In Black & White, which will appear on Suspicion despite being released as a single back in 2013.
