Though it’ll sell, Blacc Hollywood sums up the brainless trash passing for commercial hip hop in 2014.

More Wiz Khalifa More Wiz Khalifa

Has the buzz on an MC ever died off as swiftly as that on Wiz Khalifa? After a couple of cool mixtapes it quickly became apparent Wiz was a one-trick-pony and his long-players had essentially become one long song.

To his credit, on his latest album, while he isn’t solving the Middle East conflict, Wiz manages to put his spliff aside long enough to rap/auto-croon on girls, the club, money, the ‘hood and his crew over predictably synthesised, trappy beats. Though it’ll sell, Blacc Hollywood sums up the brainless trash passing for commercial hip hop in 2014.
