"The Pretty Littles' latest will only serve to dig your shattered mind into a deeper pit."

More The Pretty Littles More The Pretty Littles

Ignore the title if you are looking for some comfort from mind battles - The Pretty Littles' latest will only serve to dig your shattered mind into a deeper pit.

Not that Soft Rock For The Anxious is the most depressing album ever penned, though it does have moments — like in the aptly titled Overwhelmed and the condemning truth bombs within Sam's Mob. But things start off in raucous form, with lo-fi fuzz and vocals in Soda Pop, energetic disdain in Not Good (Okay), the no-fuss riffs in the yearning Sleeping In Water and upbeat single Pride. It's straight-up garage rock that you'll warm to it with each listen.
