"Speed Orange celebrate a vintage sound of rock and pop on this record."

Melbourne outfit Speed Orange celebrate a vintage sound of rock and pop on this record. Touches of country and folk appear on the rollicking Moving On, Nick Cave-esque opener, Abigail, and ballad Incoming Tide. Then the band channel some old-school rock’n’roll on Highwire and The Damage Is Done, which really helps focus the songwriting and maintain the energy. The highlight is the poppy keyboard-led single, You And I, which should get the shoulders shimmying with those sugary female ‘lalala’ backing vocals.
