An incredible set and not a dry T-shirt in the house.

More The Presets More The Presets

Despite the miserable weather, a solid crowd began piling into the Enmore early and got straight into the swing of things for Light Year's DJ set, clearly unfazed by the fact that it was a Monday night. Parachute Youth were warmly welcomed to the large stage and quickly filled the room with their electro/trance sounds. The duo, looking like a mini version of The Presets, appeared very comfortable as they pumped through tracks including Count To Ten and Can't Get Better Than This, which the whole crowd sang along to.

There wasn't room to move by the time The Presets took to the stage with a crowd that encompassed everyone from old rockers to young ravers, every single one of them beyond excited to see the band return to their hometown for their first proper headline show in four years. There was a long intro build up, accentuated by trippy lights and graphics, before Kim Moyes and Julian Hamilton appeared to screaming applause and smashed straight into Push from new album Pacifica.

A number of tracks from the last two albums followed including the newly popular Fall, before Moyes stepped down from the drum kit to pick up the percussion for a gradual, pared back intro of If I Know You before a flurry of drum beats and strobes brought the track crashing back in. By this point there wasn't a still leg in the house, with even Moyes and Hamilton cracking out some moves. Promises, Ghosts and a breathtaking version of This Boy's In Love followed, sending everyone into a tizzy of dancing, shoulder surfing and crowd surges. The excitement continued to build to epic proportions through hits Youth In Trouble, My People and R U The One until Talk Like That finished the set and the boys left the stage for a well-earned break.

They returned for just one track – a dirty, funked up version of Anywhere that in parts sounded like it was taking cues from Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. An incredible set and not a dry T-shirt in the house.
