"There's no slowing down with this record."

More Ratking More Ratking

Perth-based surf punks Ratking aren't necessarily reinventing the wheel with this new record, but they do their job really well – throughout Commonwealth, the guitar work is tight, the hooks are catchy, and the energy is pulsating.

The nature of their lyrical content is enjoyable, albeit sometimes cynical, too – Girt gives a middle finger to our PM; Life Drain ponders the stale repetitiveness of daily life; and Our Reptilian Overlords slams conspirators and takes the side of science. There's no slowing down with this record; it's relentless, and the boys should be very proud of their debut full-length effort.
