Novation Launch Control

Novation's Launch Control surface is another pint-sized MIDI controller in their ever-expanding line of musical wizardry. This time we have 16 rotary knobs and eight pads to play with that are better suited to controlling the mixer, instruments and effects within your DAW or iPad app. The Launch Control is designed to partner up with other “Launch” series products where you can use the rotary controls to fine tune and tweak real-time parameters like volume, filter and effects while using another unit (say the Launchpad) to fire off samples. If minimalism is your thing however, the Launch Control is more than capable of controlling just about everything you'd want it to. Use the rotary knob as two groups of eight to control pan and volume simultaneously while firing off samples with the pads, then quickly switching banks to adjust filters to send effects like delay and reverb on the fly.
