Persevere to No End, where Suad Khalifa’s vocal takes it all somewhere else. All a little understated for its own good, but if patient you may find something of worth.

More Jaakko Eino Kalevi More Jaakko Eino Kalevi

Straight out of rock city Helsinki, Kalevi makes self-taught – but not entirely – synthesised little swirls which flow through snowy nights where you and yours sit listening in front of the fire while wearing matching Nordic jumpers. He actually namechecks Chris Rea (not just for the sax solos), but this comes from a similar territory – musical as well as geographic – as your Peter, Bjorn, & John's plastic folkiness. Persevere to No End, where Suad Khalifa's vocal takes it all somewhere else. All a little understated for its own good, but if patient you may find something of worth.
