"Lyrically the album is deep, but lacks emotion and personality."

More Gwen Stefani More Gwen Stefani

It's been nearly twelve years since her first solo album, but fans are left with catchy hooks and emotionless songs accompanied by vocals on cruise control.

The Hollaback Girl is dead and gone. Lyrically the album is deep, but lacks emotion and personality. It's like she is hiding behind her songs, even as she explores her break-up with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Used To Love You is a perfect example of personal themes given a flat delivery. Naughty feels like a dirty porno rap while Truth is about boyfriend Blake Shelton. It's an okay album, but in no way memorable.
