"The album is also stormy and indicting."

More Frank Yamma More Frank Yamma

Resting on themes of love and longing like the sun setting lingers over the horizon of his home country, songs Beginning Of Today and Sunday Morning celebrate Yamma’s family and the Australian landscape, while Todd Mall is a Pitjantjatjara ode to the titular mall in Alice Springs.

The past is ever present in Yamma’s music as he reflects on his life growing up in Central Australia on the gracefully orchestrated Memories, songs as full of promise as swollen rainclouds. The album is also stormy and indicting, the rawness of tracks like Black Man’s Crying distancing the listener.
