If you watched the first one and loved it, you should have already bought your tickets. If you weren’t a fan of the first one, don’t expect your mind to be changed.

While it's a common fear with comedy sequels that they never live up to the original, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues really does add more to this amazing world and is a thing of its own. The film stays away from repeat jokes for most of the time and in the brief moments it does use jokes from the first film, they are so well delivered and played that it feels just as original as the first time around.

The film's biggest enemy is its length. It's an extra half an hour, and while its epic story make the film quite amazing in some respects, with incredible cameos and hilarious 'random' funnies, some moments drag and pull down the mood that some of those brilliant moments provide. This movie takes the original ridiculousness and multiplies it. This does mean some great laughs at times, but at others moments of sheer frustration at some pretty terrible humour. If you watched the first one and loved it, you should have already bought your tickets. If you weren't a fan of the first one, don't expect your mind to be changed.
