With assured Aussie takes on authentic international flavours incorporating a flair that few can resist an occasional sup of, it's as if (restaurant chain) Guzman Y Gomez have taken a leaf out of The Cat Empire's book.

Solo, lead cat Felix Riebl sits comfortably behind the piano with a ragtag gang of scruffy mates in a forgotten alley wine bar away from the bustle, Lonely Truth providing a moody four-song stop gap before the Empire strike back in the new year. The vim and spice of his day job may be absent but sometimes you just have to clean the old palette.
