"An indie-rock lover's dream."

More Endless Boogie More Endless Boogie

Mt Mountain was first to rock from the inside out, drawing in the crowd with classics such as She Runs, an absolute banger of a tune that had the whole ground head-bopping.

A relocation to the beer garden brought about a more relaxed, indie vibe that infected everyone. Next to play was a three-piece band known as Huge Magnet. The chilled, Perth-based band had a mixture of rock'n'roll with grit, swing and a smirk that added to the authentic nature of the chilled vibes that filled the Rosemount. If your heart doesn't melt when a good-looking band brings out their harmonica, then who knows what will. Lead singer Jay Bale Jnr whistled away to the crowd before lifting up the beer garden with a "Come on Rosemount, lets do this!".

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets' grungy rock vibe brought in a select crowd, but their harsher lighting and sound set the mood just right. Some find this genre harder on the eardrums, but the consistency of the banging guitar was almost soothing in a strange way. Their tunes no doubt had the room headbanging along.

Hideous Sun Demon made the heavy headbangers feel right at home, bringing out the real rock'n'roll and dropping it straight on us. The strong vocal during their song Moan For Jesus was by far the highlight of their set as it really set an upbeat mood for the room.

The last band to play was none other than Endless Boogie, an American hard rock band. Their first few songs came out firing and had the crowd absolutely pumping. Their intense guitar skills had many mesmerised, the crowd totally absorbed by the musicianship on display.

The night was filled with laughter, it was an indie-rock lover's dream packed with consistently faultless performances. Down at the Rosemount the bands left nothing but awesome vibes and an April Fools Day to remember.
