More Kyla La Grange More Kyla La Grange

Kyla La Grange's second album is a sweet pop pill. The melodies are feathery-light, songs like I Don't Hate You and Maia floating on crisp and nimble beats. These immensely danceable sounds are similar to the electronica explored recently by Grimes or AlunaGeorge. Steel drums appear on The Knife adding colour to the second half of the album, with earlier songs paling slightly in comparison. British producer Jakwob sees that La Grange's sound is free of the bombast of established pop stars, while her pristine vocals prove she well and truly deserves the spotlight.
