"Thoroughly pleasant and all, but Teebs’ music is in danger of becoming musical wallpaper.'

A full-time painter as well as beatsmith, Teebs' second opus is fetching enough at first glance. Examples of lush, twinkling audio-scenery such as Piano Months implore you to lie down in idyllic, watercolour pastures and the like, but it's all a bit soporific, as much of Estara glides by at a diazepam-induced pace. What seems to be missing is some direction. It doesn't need to be a grand, Claude Lorrain-esque vision, just something a little more focused. Thoroughly pleasant and all, but Teebs' music is in danger of becoming musical wallpaper.
