Himalayan doesn’t break the mould more than resets it in cast iron – Band Of Skulls writ large.

More Band Of Skulls More Band Of Skulls

Three albums in, and British 'dyed in the blues' rock band Band Of Skulls refuse to reinvent the wheel. Why should they? Their brand of chugging, hard-hitting rock has stood them in good stead until now. Himalayan has a slightly harder, worn sheen on the production; there's some more pummelling bottom end on songs like Hoochie Coochie that rumbles in the chest cavity; there's the brooding Emma Richardson-led “ballad” Cold Sweat. Himalayan doesn't break the mould more than resets it in cast iron – Band Of Skulls writ large.
