Though not his best work, Apocalypse Soon proves a solid party mix.

More Major Lazer More Major Lazer

Considering the mainstream dancehall producer's steady boost in popularity, it's no surprise that his latest offering is larger and more frenetic than earlier releases. Addictive opener, Aerosol Can, the most adventurous and impressive track, sees Pharrell Williams rapping over stripped-back beats akin to a sexed-up schoolyard clapping game. Comparatively, scorching follow-up, Come On To Me sounds like a typical Sean Paul song, the danceable collaboration evoking a satisfying inevitability. Later offerings are forgettable, notably generic club song Lose Yourself. Though not his best work, Apocalypse Soon proves a solid party mix.
