Howler have stated their second record, World Of Joy, is their best work yet. But how often have you heard a band make such a claim, only to find yourself demanding your $20 back after listening to the possum-shrieks of their 'new sound'? Luckily, Howler really have pulled it off. First single, Don't Wanna is a superbly riff-ridden track, while the last four songs are worth the purchase price alone. Here's The Itch That Creeps Through My Skull is a suitable homage to The Smiths, particularly considering frontman Jordan Gatesmith is dating Johnny Marr's daughter.
