Album Review: Temples - Sun Structures

A neat little psych debut.

More Temples More Temples

Temples could be the most definitive band of British pop this year. There's a bit of everything going on in Sun Structures: reverb-laden garage, dirty glam stomping, acid-washed retro jangling and just enough pop sensibility to keep the whole carriage together. Temples is also a fitting name for a band that seem to run most of their sounds through a church hall filter, which does get a bit grating, but the fuzz layovers in tracks like Sun Structures and A Question Isn't Answered lay down the psych line solidly. A neat little psych debut.
