Finally, someone who can give Aimee Mann a run for her money.

More Rose Cousins More Rose Cousins

Canadians seem to at times have an affinity with Australians and on the folk scene there are some wonderful artists like Cousins deserving of some serious recognition. She creates a moody landscape that can vary from a rocking force, as on The Darkness, to melting into a languid ballad on Go First, which takes a long time to get to its point but is worth every second. If you like your folk music subtle and emotive, this album is worth a listen. Finally, someone who can give Aimee Mann a run for her money.
