WAMCon Focus: Moira Mckenzie

2 November 2016 | 1:20 pm | Artist Submission

Organisation: Sanicki Lawyers - solicitor

How did you first become involved in the music business and how did you end up where you are today? I started off playing in bands when I was a teenager and studied music at uni before studying law. I'm lucky enough to combine music and law in my job at Sanicki Lawyers.

What's been the biggest change in the music business you've seen over the past 12 months? The drop in record sales and the rise in streaming services has been a big change in the way that labels and artists are operating now.

What do you think will be the biggest issue affecting the music industry in the next 12 months and why? Artists finding new and effective ways to earn money from their music.
