Sum up your arts practice in a tweet: New media video artist working with live performance.

Describe your piece for the Gertrude Street Projection Festival: Underwater is a video piece that uses multiple layers of composited imagery to explore the connection between geometry and nature by generating sequences of patterns. These shapes combine to create an abstraction of the landscape that reflects emotion, sensation and distortion of the natural environment.

Describe the development of your piece for GSPF: Underwater is a video installation using footage taken from the marine parks of coastal Victoria using bated cameras and recordings made by deep sea divers. This work was a commissioned piece under the joint collaboration between the Victorian National Park Association (VNPA) and the Center for Creative Arts (CCA), La Trobe University, Australia.

What works are you excited to see at GPSF? My absolute favorite work in last year’s festival was by Skunk Control and I’m really happy to see them return again for this year. They will be presenting work in window space of Rose Chong.
